This resource must be able to take an assigned request or project, and take charge of that request or project, performing all duties and responsibilities to fully implement the changes needed.
This individual is to be well-rounded and knowledgeable in all aspects of delivering a service within ServiceNow.
A good team member will be one who can meet with thebusiness to understand and document the functional and business needs, plusunderstand the underlying technology for each assigned request and project and beable to work on delivering the solution with minimal supervision in an Agileenvironment.
In addition, the individual resource must understand the direction and roadmap that ServiceNow has for its platform and will assist in aligning the client dept's ServiceNow instance to follow that roadmap.
Description of DutiesThis position is expected to function in a very independent manner, therefore, the duties are described in greater detail than other requests.
This document can be used to make sure expectations are communicated and met when the resource starts.
This Techno-Functional ServiceNow individual will:
oBe assigned Request Items, Tasks, and/or Projects to complete in a self-directedand semi-independent manner.
All work must be completed with quality and in a timely manner.
oCoordinate and take the lead role for the technical/functional development and support of the assigned ServiceNow requests, projects, and tasks.
oHost sprint planning sessions and provide time and resource estimates to the client dept before work begins.
oPlan releases into PROD around the sprint delivery dates.
oEnsure a mutual understanding of the request and the proposed approach/response between both the dept and the Contractor before beginning work on a request.
oCoordinate and execute all development aspects including reports, integrations, interfaces, conversion programs, database design and creation, and enhancements.
oDocument requirements, or user stories in detail, as determined by the dept (within Azure Dev Ops (ADO)).
oPerform technical functions that are within the scope of this position.
These include, but are not limited to configuring, coding, testing, writing automated test scripts using ATF, data loads, and scripting.
oDocument the progress and other details relating to the work being performed within the appropriate dept's Microsoft Azure DevOps (ADO) record.
oRecord requirements or user stories within the dept's Microsoft Azure DevOps (ADO) system as directed by the dept for testing and requirement traceability purposes.
oCreate testing plans and test scripts as needed to ensure proper operation of therequested change, enhancement, or program as directed by the dept.
oPerform and/or coordinate the Unit, System Integration, User Acceptance, and other testing as specified by the dept following the dept's IT Quality Management Playbook (playbook to be provided upon start of work).
oDocument and demonstrate the changes (Showbacks) as directed, plus present the change at the dept's Change Review Board meetings.
oWork with the dept system administration team to have the changes code and peer reviewed then implemented into PROD.
oWork at the direction of, and report to, the dept's CBS Varied Team Supervisor or designee.
o Provide documentation and knowledge transfer on the changes, as requested by the dept.
Plus provide guidance and support to the application support team, as needed, for troubleshooting issues or answering questions as directed by the dept.
oPerform tasks and other duties as assigned by the dept.
Other requirements and expectations oAll deployments must follow the ServiceNow Low Code capabilities or use standard configuration changes that follow ServiceNow's Best Practices.
Where the Low Code and/or Best Practice configuration changes will not satisfy the request, an escalation to the dept's IT leadership is required before proceeding with any custom coding/configuration.
Minimum Experience oEquivalentcombination of education and/or experience may be accepted.
o5 years' experience as a Business Analysis for supporting ServiceNow business processes.
o5 years' experience with designing business processes for ServiceNow implementation.
o At least one hands-on ServiceNow implementation project as a functional or technical lead o At least two prior support and enhancements project as a functional or technical lead.
o2 years' experience coding and configuration ServiceNow.
oProficient in the Microsoft Office 365 suite of business software including Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, plus proficient in Microsoft ADO Testing Module.
oProficient in ITIL practices and methodologies.
Desired Skillset oThe ideal candidate will have 8 or more years of expertise in delivering services viaServiceNow for projects of various sizes and subject matters.
oThe ideal candidate will have 5 or more years of experience in delivering ServiceNowservices as described within this request.
oAbility to work independently to accomplish the tasks and duties assigned.
oDemonstrated exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
o Additional beneficial skills include:
oEnterprise Business Solutions, specifically SAP projects.
oITIL / ITSM practices and methodologies.
Certifications/ Education oAll Techno-functional resources must hold one or more of the following ServiceNow certifications:
o CIS-ITSM (Certified Implementation Specialist) ORo CSA (Certified System administrator) ORo ServiceNow Certified Developer.
