Overview
The Appliances Engineering Rotation Program is designed to provide participants with broad exposure to the elements of the product design process such as conception, development, and testing. The program consists of rotations in areas such as Product Development Engineering, Manufacturing, and Project Management, accompanied by a robust technical and leadership curriculum. At the conclusion of the two year program, participants will move into an engineering position on one of the Appliances product families. The Engineering Rotation Program provides individuals with a robust training experience that allows them to network across multiple sites and functions, develop their skills at a faster rate, and work across several key projects.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Engineering Excellence, you will provide product development engineering support to Appliances product lines, design and develop new product platforms, as well as support modifications, product extensions and product derivatives for new applications. Working closely with the business office and sales teams, you will support customer demands for assigned product lines offering technical assistance to both internal and external customers.
This position will be located in Middletown, PA at the end of the rotation period. Throughout the 2 years you will be located in Middletown, PA, as well as potential in other US locations as well as travel to business partners in China. The final placement of the Engineering Rotation Program Associates will be in Middletown, PA.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Responsibilities:
As an Engineering Rotation Program Associate, your responsibilities would include the following:
Develop a concept into a functional, cost effective product that can be easily manufactured
Responsible for meeting performance, cost objectives and coordinate projects from design through prototype, test and transfer
Work closely with customers, sales, product management, advanced manufacturing, and test lab in a simultaneous engineering environment
Utilize available resources to resolve customer problems
Utilizes existing processes to bring new products to market
Qualifications:
Eligible candidates will graduate between December 2017 and June 2018 with 0 2 years of relevant experience gained from internships or on campus leadership roles.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related degree preferred.
Leadership experience is preferred.
